Today Heifer-Ukraine implements 68 projects and this number is permanently increasing. Heifer-Ukraine projects include following areas:

• Communities development and increasing the level of life among people in rural areas;
• Entrepreneurship development by supporting agricultural service cooperatives, improvement of agricultural production in the individual households;
• Development of value added chains that include processing, packaging, products marketing, etc;
• Support of the initiatives of communities on rural and ecotourism development;
• Diversification of services provided by the cooperatives by developing social and welfare services (washing, scavenging, roads renewal, etc);
• Support of gender programs
• Support of youth nitiatives;
• Environment protection initiatives;
• Assistance to people who have suffered from disasters, either man-made or natural;
• Advocacy for rural community interests;
• Revival of endangered breeds of animals, improvement of breeding and productive qualities (goat and horse breeding)
• Education for the community members on animal breeding, environment protection, Heifer-Ukraine key cornerstones, products processing, marketing and sales, accounting, entrepreneurship principles, etc.
