Agricultural animals and plants play vital role in food production for people and are the basic source of income for rural families.

Effective farming directly depends on the producing capacity of the animals and crops. That is why we pay good attention on selection of cattle, poultry, bees, seeds and saplings for our projects.

Animal breeding

We purchase animals, poultry and bees in bred livestock farms with status of stock reproducer and a proper level of productiveness within the herd. The animals’ height and maturity meet the requirements of nature standards and descend from high productive parents. We give preference to the breeds, crosses and lines of domestic selection, that are well adapted to natural, climatic and agricultural conditions of the region where the project is implemented.

Breeds, lines and crosses of intensive type as well as animals descended from record-breaker parents, that require special conditions while feeding and keeping them on the industrial farms, are less desired for the projects. It is almost impossible for the individual farmer to provide the needed conditions in order to fulfill the genetic potential of such animals.

We also wonk on using local animals and endangered breeds in our projects. Among them Hutsul breed of horses, Brown Carpathian cattle and Carpathian sheep breed. Such breeds are well adapted to the specific conditions of the region, have strong health, not fastidious about fodders and can be kept on the pastures in valleys. Such animals form a valuable gene pool, that require preservation and further improvement, and can’t be replaced by other breeds. In order to save the endangered breeds we elaborate specific projects, some of them are already successfully accomplished.

Plant cultivation

We purchase seeds and saplings of high productive plants of domestic and foreign selection, that are well adapted to climate and ground conditions of the region where the project is implemented. Seeds and planting material are purchased in selection and seed farms. The class of purchased planting material is not lower than elite.
